Along residential streets, the road right-of way (ROW) and boulevards are the responsibility of the homeowners to maintain as part of their yard. Homeowners may landscape this to match their yard with anything permeable, such as plants, turf or rocks. In addition, during the winter months it is your responsibility to remove the snow from the sidewalk in front of your home.

Note: The ROW in front of your property may be back from the sidewalk or it may be split, creating a side boulevard between the sidewalk and the street.
