Your chosen sessions must be viewed in their entirety.  Partial credit of individual sessions is not available. For Enduring APA and New York Boards of the Professions credits, you are also required to pass a posttest with a score of at least 80%.  If you are seeking continuing education credit for a specialty not listed below, it is your responsibility to contact your licensing/certification board to determine course eligibility for your licensing/certification requirement.

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Amedco is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Amedco maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive 16.00 GENERAL continuing education credits.

Objectives - After Attending This Program You Should Be Able To
1. Outline the 10 principles of attachment theory and how they help the therapists stay relevant and on target in every session.
2. Identify ways to shape a safe haven alliance with clients that fosters collaboration and full engagement in sessions.
3. Use the map provided by EFT to assess client difficulties and to formulate a coherent picture of the negative cycles of emotion regulation and interpersonal engagement that block growth and set up the emotional disorders - anxiety and depression.
4. Describe the 3 stages of EFT including how to create a stabilizing secure base in clients before moving on to shape corrective emotional experiences in Stage 2 of EFT.
5. Outline the 5 moves of the EFT Tango and how this macro-intervention is used across the stages of EFT and with individuals, couples and families.
6. Describe the key change process of how to systematically assemble core emotions and deepen them to expand the sense of self and the ability to engage fully with others.
7. Pinpoint the micro interventions that both create safety and set up challenge and exploration for clients.
8. Describe the attachment concept of healthy functioning and how to craft potent change events in EFT sessions (events that revise models of self and other).
9. Describe how to move past common blocks in the change process with numbed or agitated clients and resolve injuries to attachment figures – partners or family members.
10. Outline how to work with difficult concerns, complex PTSD, chronic depression, escalated couples or chaotic families.
