A PDI, better known as pre-delivery inspection, is exactly what it sounds like. You will essentially inspect your home prior to the builder delivering it to you. It is an inspection that takes place a few days before your occupancy date. You will walk through your home and review the quality of your electrical connections, walls, floor, and finishes, to ensure that they are satisfactory. Areas of concern will be noted, and rectified by the developer.
A representative from the builder will be in contact with you in the weeks following, and will update you on the progress of clearing any concerns that were raised during your PDI. At the time of completing your PDI, you may be required to sign a New Home Warranty Program Certificate of Possession as well as GST Rebate Forms.
