Knott’s Soak City Water Park owns the distinction of being one of the safest water parks in the United States. For the 16th consecutive year the lifeguard staff has been awarded the Platinum National Aquatic Safety Award for consistently exceeding the criteria for aquatic safety. This award is granted only to facilities scoring in the top eight percent of the audit criteria as established by Jeff Ellis & Associates, a leader in aquatic safety consulting for water parks worldwide.

In an effort to provide a safe and enjoyable water park experience for our guests, Knott's Soak City routinely utilizes training exercises to improve our lifeguards’ skills and vigilance. These exercises will occur during normal operating hours and may consist of the following: submersible water mannequins, the use of video surveillance equipment, internal and external audits, active/inactive water rescues and/or first aid scenarios.
