Why does Google limit the amount of prospects I can view in my search results?

Last updated about 8 years ago

When you use LeadFuze's prospecting tool to search for prospects in high volumes and add prospects in bulk, you may notice that after a certain number of page views Google limits the amount of search results you can access.

If you have search results of 80,000 prospects, but once you get to page 10 Google stops letting you move forward and view the next page's results, this means that you're maxing out the results available to you in that specific search. Google's algorithm typically allows you to see 1000 results at a time, so if you find yourself running into this maximum results setting in Google,  the best thing to do is create more narrow search.

Additionally, you'll want to make sure your Google search settings are set to "Never Show Instant Results" and that your page results settings are set to 100. These settings will maximize prospecting results for high-volume searches. You can adjust these settings by clicking the gear icon from your search results page.
